How to Set TOC and Body Page Ranges
When TOC pages and body pages are set correctly without overlap, status, previews, and credit estimates stay more consistent.
Status & Scope
Current status: Live. This guide focuses on setup, what is available now, and the current limits.
The more accurately you set page ranges, the smoother processing will be and the less rework you will need later.
Setup rules
- Use TOC pages only for actual table-of-contents content.
- Body pages usually start from the page after the TOC ends, but you can adjust them manually.
- Do not let the two ranges overlap. If no TOC exists, leave the TOC range empty and start the body from page 1.
Note
Accurate credit estimates depend on page ranges being set correctly before processing starts.
Current limits
Some non-PDF files provide less clear page-structure previews than PDFs. In those cases, it is usually better to run the full document once first, then split out only the part you really need based on the result.
FAQ
Can TOC and body share the same pages?
No. Overlap makes the input ambiguous and can reduce estimate accuracy.
What if my document has no TOC?
Leave the TOC range empty and start the body from page 1.
